Chapter 220 Beacon fires in all directions (3)
Several guests who left Lingyin Town a few days ago came again. Those who arrived with them also found good news about Lingyin Temple.
The visitor was Li Tian, who brought Jin Yuan and Xueer to the town again. As for the heaven and earth, they stayed in Lingyin Temple to watch the monks. Li Tian did not allow the monks to be injured at all, nor did they allow them to commit suicide.
For Li Tian, it is interesting to torture a person's body without torture a person's heart.
The people of Lingyin Temple became happier and happier. All households hung out the large "卍" mansion. The swastika that fluttered in the wind was like a banner that summoned the souls of the deceased.
They still didn't know the disaster was coming, and they were still immersed in the joy of finding Lingyin Temple.
The people in the town were asking for trouble, and finally let Lietian down and told them that the masters of Lingyin Temple did not like others to disturb them. However, they agreed to take some of the villagers to a pilgrimage first, and as for the others, they continued to stay in the town and wait.
When the villagers heard this, they dared not ask for more. They hurriedly discussed it, so each household sent a representative to follow these distinguished guests to the mountain to make a pilgrimage.
They were not worried that Litian and his group would deceive them. After all, in terms of quantity, they were absolutely dominant. If they were deceived, these foreigners would definitely be tied back by them.
These people were happily preparing vegetarian food for the Litian and the others, and they almost treated them as living Bodhisattvas.
The people began to renovate the town, and it was necessary to build the town into a small town with a Buddhist atmosphere to attract more people to come here.
Even before Litian and others left, the people began to build a temple and asked the mason to pinch out a few Buddha statues. Litian also saw the embryo of the Buddha statue. He felt awkward no matter how he looked.
But there is one thing in this temple that they have spent a lot of effort.
It was a large wooden box with gold edges, with gods and Buddhas painted on it, and the whole box was even dyed with a layer of golden yellow. Even the master who made this box was hired by a lot of money.
It was obviously just a wooden box, but these people were obviously more attentive to create it than Buddha statues.
Afterwards, the town’s sign was changed, and a line of small characters was added next to Lingyin Town. The town under Lingyin Temple is a town, a Buddhist cultural experience and experience.
This series of operations made the sky foggy and I didn’t understand what these people who seemed to worship Buddha and respect Buddha were doing.
Making a box, a town that is more serious than a Buddha statue, made Li Tian suspicious for the first time and began to recall what Master Xuyun said.
As a monk, Master Xuyun naturally would not hate others for no reason, let alone hate these ordinary people who are powerless compared to their practitioners.
When Lietian saw them writing the three words "Merit Box" on the box, he finally understood.
The people in this town believe in Buddhism is just a cover, and their purpose is to make money by the name of this thousand-year-old temple.
This explains why they asked someone to pinch the statue of the gods, but they just hired a bricklayer to send it away; and the merit box that asked others for money was hired by famous carpenters to polish it carefully.
Li Tian could only sigh, and these people were both smart and angry.
What is smart is that although Lingyin Temple is still a little far away from this place, they can still make money with the monks of Lingyin Temple; but what is heartbreaking is that it is clearly a pure Buddhist land, but they use it to make huge profits for themselves.
It is no wonder that when they heard that they had found Lingyin Temple, the attitudes of these people towards them changed. Even at the request of Li Tian, hundreds of people followed Li Tian to the mountain in the end.
Along the way, it is extremely difficult for these ordinary people.
Even many half-aged children followed, and they never thought that the mountain road to Lingyin Temple would be so difficult.
However, when I thought that I could get some Buddha light when I arrived at Lingyin Temple and help my family make a lot of money, even though I was so tired that my feet were worn out, I gritted my teeth and hurriedly followed.
Jin Yuan was a little helpless, so he had to bring some things, such as chopping boards and kitchen knives, and the most important thing was the star anise, cinnamon and other spices necessary for making meatballs.
If it weren't for these "meats", he would have been able to tell Lingyin Temple at this time.
But there was no way, and the Holy Lord was too lazy to accompany these ordinary people to walk up the mountain step by step. Therefore, the burden of guiding these people fell on Jin Yuan.
But fortunately, with Xueer accompanying him along the way, I was not bored.
Occasionally, Jin Yuan shook his head helplessly after scanning the happy faces of these people.
Perhaps, they don’t know what fate is waiting for them yet?
...Lietian returned to Lingyin Temple. The group of monks had not eaten for two or three days. They just sat outside, closed their eyes and silently chanting the Heart Sutra.
For practitioners, not having a meal for two or three days is nothing.
Lietian walked to Master Xuyun's side and squatted down with a smile.
"Master Xuyun, don't be so nervous." Master Xuyun ignored Lietian and continued to recite the scriptures. Lietian was not angry, but instead stood up and bowed to the monks, "Just just recite the scriptures seriously, and prepare meals for you later."
Until the next morning, Jin Yuan, who was sweating profusely, made a big pot of meatballs.
Jin Yuan shouted "It's time to eat", and the monks naturally ignored him. But he smiled instead of anger, and a grim smile appeared on his face, serving the monks as if he was serving his ancestors.
He found a bowl, divided a meatball for each of them, and placed it in front of them. Even when the weather changes and rain and snow, Jin Yuan tried to shelter them from the wind and rain. Even if the meatballs were cold, Jin Yuan would heat them up.
But the monks still did not move. The fragrant meatballs in front of them were like stones, and there was no difference.
Suddenly, a little novice monk couldn't hold on and almost fainted.
Master Xuyun looked at the meatballs in front of him and then said to many monks: "Amitabha, the Buddha abstains from meat and fish, but he is afraid that you will not be able to control yourself. All things in the world will have a role in survival. Just like animals, if they know that their meat can save many people after they die, they will probably be very happy, because this is their merit, and they have dedicated themselves; secondly, as long as there is a Buddha in their hearts, no matter where you go or where you go, you are a Buddha."
When many monks heard this, they immediately looked at the meatballs that were still steaming in front of Jin Yuan.
To be honest, they are indeed hungry.
Seeing that everyone was not moving, Master Xuyun took the first step to pick up the bowl of meatballs from the front and bit it down.
But as soon as he bit it, Master Xuyun was stunned. He spit out something from his mouth and looked carefully and it was his nails.
Master Xuyun's face suddenly changed drastically and he looked at Lietian in anger!
