Two million words reached, thank you for your continued support.
The disaster shelter has finally reached 2 million words. Let’s put out fireworks, firecrackers, empty guns, bombs, cloud bombs, nuclear bombs, two-way foils, whatever is awesome.
Until now, if there are some minor achievements in writing this book, it is all due to...
Myself!
Ahem, just kidding.
In fact, I want to thank my editor, Blu-ray Boss. Although he doesn't talk much, he is very reliable and makes me feel at ease.
In addition, I would like to thank all readers for their support. I will definitely not be able to write two million words. I may finish one million words, and it will be almost time to start a new book.
It’s not difficult to write this book now, but it’s not easy either.
Although I stopped updating for one or two days due to some things or being lazy, and rarely updated for ten days or so, from the beginning of the series on March 28 last year to now, there have been a total of 446 days, with an average daily word count of 4,484, which is almost 4,000 words per day.
Five hundred words, so I average a little more than two chapters a day.
At the beginning, the first order for this book was 210, and the average order at the beginning was 168. How much did the average order cost? With all the hard work, I could earn a monthly income of 1,000... It was quite pitiful at that time, haha.
Later, with the support of readers and a little bit of persistence, I achieved the meager results I have now.
Of course, my current results cannot be said to be very good. From the perspective of the big guys, I am still a loser.
After all, I don’t have many readers, and only about a hundred people will be able to see this speech today.
If you don’t believe it, make a report!
But I am still a little proud of being able to persevere to two million words, to be able to rely on code words to support myself, and to be able to change from a small transparent at level 1 to a medium transparent at level 4.
Although this achievement seems worthless to many people, it is even scornful.
But the dream has come true a little bit.
I have always felt that reality is important, and dream is a very pretentious word, so I rarely say that writing is my dream.
In the past, single chapters sold poorly, and they mostly talked about subscription issues, food issues, and nothing about dreams.
But if you think about it carefully, from the time I was sensible to the time I actually started writing, I have indeed thought about countless times writing to make a living in the future, which is much more than any job I have ever dreamed of.
If I have to have a dream, apart from unrealistic ideas like becoming a superman, writing is my dream!
I am now in my twenties. I may be passive or active, and may have missed many opportunities.
But I am very glad that I chose this path, even though this path does not have "respectability", "stability", or "health". Maybe I will end up in the street and not even be able to eat after reading this book.
There may even be no wife... Ahem, cross this one out.
But I have never regretted it!
Even if I only get a thousand yuan a month, hide in a rental house, think about buying a popsicle, and stay up until I feel like vomiting, I have never regretted it.
Maybe the only good thing about deciding to pursue your dream is that you won't regret it.
So I really sincerely thank all readers and friends for their support. Without you, I would never be able to support myself now. Thank you for letting me go on the road to realizing my dream.
Ahem, I'm getting goosebumps as I write this. I'll wait until I actually make some achievements before I say this.
Now I'm just rushing to the streets, what's the point of being pretentious?
In addition, I want to talk about the problem. First of all, it is a typo. This is entirely my fault and I am very ashamed.
When I write a book, I usually write a short outline first, then write a draft according to the outline, then refine it, and finally check it over.
The sad thing is that after writing it down like this, the quality is still not as good as the big guys, but the level is limited and can only be improved a little bit. Fortunately, I can see my progress.
Just by looking at it, you can tell that this process is very time-consuming. The number of words I delete every day is almost the same as the number of words I send out, so sometimes time is tight and it is inevitable that there will be omissions during inspection.
Sometimes I read it word by word, but there are still typos. I even spent 180 yuan to buy a membership to a typo-checking software for half a year, but the result... well, it's still the same.
Also, let’s talk about plot issues. Some people think that my plot mode is too slow and the main line is not obvious...
This was a problem in the initial planning, because I planned to write it in a unit drama mode, one paragraph after another, with little impact on each plot, but now it seems that the effect is not very good.
Some people think that my writing skills are not good, well, I admit this, my ability is average and my level is limited, haha.
In addition, some readers suggested that the plot of the supporting characters should be added, as they do not want to see the protagonist go through levels and fight monsters alone.
Regarding this point, I have also tried, so I wrote the Mirror Maze Trial in the previous section, and the most recent plot, in which all members of the shelter encircled and suppressed the Eye of the Abyss stronghold.
But this is just an attempt. In the future, I will definitely focus on the protagonist. Otherwise, why would I call him the protagonist? It’s all about supporting roles. I guess I’m going to be too cool again...
In addition, some people say that my progress is slow, while others say that my progress is fast, and some content can be expanded and written...
In fact, when I receive some opinions, I am very conflicted.
If readers' views on something are divided into two extremes, the left and right, there may be countless different views in between.
For example, regarding the opinions of people in a certain area, some people hate them to the core, some people just hate them, some people have a neutral view of them, some people like them, and some people kneel down and lick them.
As an author, even if I think I am rational, I will still be biased to readers who hold other views, which creates a "poisonous point"
It is not easy for most authors, so I hope that when you read the book, you will criticize less and understand more, not only my book, but other books as well.
I personally think that reading is a process of mutual selection between the reader and the author. If you can accept minor flaws, just accept it as much as possible. If you don't agree with the three views, just change to another book. There is no need to argue about right or wrong, just seek common ground while reserving differences.
Maybe the poisonous points you hate are the reasons why more readers stay.
Readers may feel uncomfortable reading a book and may just say something casually without taking it seriously, but the author will remember it for a long, long time after reading it.
This feeling is really only understood by the author group.
Ahem, this speech has a lot of content. It’s almost time to catch up with the content of one chapter. It’s already past one o’clock in the morning.
I originally wanted to write it more cheerfully, but it turned out to be dreamy and poisonous.
Finally, let me talk about the progress issue. Many of the two million words are almost finished, but I have no plans to finish it yet. There are still many foreshadowings that have not been revealed and many stories that have not been told, so this book will continue to accompany me. Everyone for a while.
You don’t have to worry that one day I suddenly don’t want to write anymore, and suddenly I finish the book. I should still have some moral integrity in this regard.
Unless I go through it with a bang, there's nothing I can do.
Chapter completed!
