1053 1053 No one cares

Parker City is covered with snow and winds in January. Winter is originally a cold level. Parker City, located in the vast land of the western United States, is even more inconspicuous and difficult to attract people's attention. The Sundance Film Festival held here is naturally difficult to enter the mainstream media's vision.

What's more, the Sundance Film Festival begins on January 19 and lasts until the 26th; and the Golden Globe Awards, which attract countless top superstars, will be held on January 21st. Choosing between the Sundance and the Golden Globe Awards is not an overly difficult decision for journalists.

If it were in the past, it would have been the case, but this year has been a little different, all of this is just because of one name: Hugo Lancaster.

The list of nominations for the 52nd Golden Globes announced not long ago has caused widespread discussion.

In this year's Golden Globes competition, the three movies "Forrest Gump", "Love Years" and "Pulp Novels" and "Lion King" launched a fierce confrontation. As expected, "Shawshank's Redemption" has not yet made any noise, and has not attracted any attention from film critics, and has almost been completely ignored at the Golden Globes.

"Forrest Gump", "Love Years", "Pulp Novel", "Quiz.show" and "Nell's Heart" ranked Nominated for the Best Picture in the Drama category; "The Lion King", "The Desert Scilla", "Four Weddings and One Funeral", "Ed Wood" and "Pret-a-porter" ranked Nominated for the Best Picture in the Music Comedy category.

The five nominees for Best Director and four seats in the best drama category were consistent. The only change was that "Neil's Heart" was not selected, and Oliver Stone, the director of "natural.porn.killers", was shortlisted, and the five works nominated for Best Picture in Music Comedy were wiped out in this department.

In terms of film nominations, "Forrest Gump" won seven nominations, and "Pulp Novel" followed closely with six nominations. "Love Years" that were once considered to be in a hard battle also recorded four nominations. Although "The Lion King" was limited by the "discrimination" of the cartoon and lost in the nomination process of the best director, he still relied on his outstanding soundtrack. He won a total of four nominations, including three of which were related to music.

"Pulp Novel" has won three nominations for the best film, best director and best screenwriter in the drama category, as well as three nominations for the best actor, best supporting actor and best supporting actress.

"Pulp Novel" is the only work that can go hand in hand with "Forrest Gump" during the nomination stage. It only has one less nomination for the best movie soundtrack than its competitors, which also makes people look forward to the performance of this movie at the awards ceremony: it can make further breakthroughs, create a new chapter of independent films again, and break the monopoly of eight major film companies on awards ceremony awards?

In terms of individual awards, Hugo won two nominations. The first one is naturally the best actor nomination in the plot category without any doubt. The outstanding performance in "Pulp Novel" made Hugo the most powerful contender for this year's Best Actor Award. The other four competitors competing with Hugo are Tom Hanks of "Forrest Gump", Morgan Freeman of "Shawshank's Redemption", Paul Newman of "No one is a fool (no dy's.fool), and Brad Pitt of "The Love Years".

Morgan's representative "Shawshank Redemption" has attracted the attention of many film critics, but in the end it is limited. People are more lamenting that Tom can reap the Golden Globe Best Actor with the wonderful performance of "Forrest Gump". It is certainly indispensable whether the two up-and-coming stars, Brad and Hugo, can launch an impact, and the head-on confrontation between the two actors.

Just like the trend during the release of the movie, although the overall quality of "Love Years" has been criticized, the two male protagonists Brad and Aidan have received a lot of praise, and they have won more attention with Aidan's acting skills. However, Brad's popularity soared. Coupled with the bonus of "night visit to vampires", Brad finally completed a counterattack, replacing his rival Aidan, and was nominated for Best Actor in the Golden Globe Awards. This is also Brad's first official nomination at the mainstream award ceremony in the United States, and it is of great significance.

Whether Hugo can overthrow Tom and what results will he achieve in the new round of competition with Brad is undoubtedly the hottest topic.

In the past two years, Hugo has won both nominations for the male lead and supporting actors, but has returned empty-handed. What is even more ironic is that Hugo has won the Oscar Best Supporting Actor Little Golden Man, but has not had any Golden Globe trophy in hand so far. This is definitely a huge mistake for the Golden Globe Awards, which is committed to combining the topic and commercial value of the Oscars. Not to mention that the incident after the Golden Globe Awards in 1993 was even more unpleasant. Although the focus is on Hugo and Mr. Bond, the mistakes of the Golden Globe organizers cannot be ignored.

Therefore, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association will definitely not allow such a situation to last too long. What's more, Hugo's performance in "Pulp Novel" has also received a lot of praise, and was praised unanimously by critics including the Cannes Film Festival and North America and Europe. Relatively speaking, Tom Hanks only relied on "Philadelphia Story" to be crowned the Golden Globe and the Oscars' double actors last year, so it would be natural for the Golden Globe Award to award the Award for the Best Actor Award to Hugo.

Of course, all this is just a prediction, and almost all media are talking about it after the nomination list comes out.

In addition to the nomination for the best actor in the drama category, Hugo's other nomination is not the same as the best supporting actor nomination in the past two years. The performance in "Life and Death Hour" did not win any nominations for Hugo, but Hugo's name unexpectedly appeared among the nominees for the best screenwriter.

Not to mention the media, even Hugo himself was surprised.

"Shawshank Redemption" only received two nominations at the Golden Globes, one was Morgan Freeman's Best Actor in the Drama category, and the other was Frank Derabont and Hugo Lancaster's Best Screenwriter nomination.

In an interview, Frank said that although Hugo and the crew missed it, he would never erase Hugo's contribution to the entire script, so he still added Hugo's name to the screenwriter lineup. No matter Hugo's attitude, this is at least his honest attitude.

So Hugo was inexplicably on the list of best screenwriters nominations, and the other four competitors were familiar with each other, namely "Pulp Novel", "Forrest Gump", "Less Behind the Scenes", and "Four Weddings and One Funeral".

Overall, this year's Golden Globe nomination list is still full of topics. Not only because this is the year when classic masterpieces are fully exploded, but some people are naturally not selected for nominations. Almost every film critic has his own nomination list in his mind. Therefore, when the Golden Globe Awards announced the nomination results, it attracted heated discussions from countless media; at the same time, because the competition for various awards is so fierce, this is also the result of the continuation of classic masterpieces.

Among them, whether Hugo can end his situation of being empty-handed at the Golden Globes is an important highlight, not to mention that he is still playing against another "Tom" Tom Hanks and Brad Pitt. Although this triple-man turn is also "Hugo, Tom and Brad", no one can predict what the result will be.

As the Golden Globe Awards ceremony approached, the list of guests was gradually announced, but after 1995, the media sensitively discovered something: Hugo's name did not appear on the first three lists, which was definitely a huge question mark.

Not to mention that Hugo is one of the most important highlights in the competition for awards, just talking about Hugo's current momentum, it can be said that without Hugo, one-third of the focus will be missing.

The reporters initially asked the broadcaster of the Golden Globes NBC TV. They said mysteriously, "Please look forward to the surprise." But when the reporter threw the same question to Rick Rosen, they got a meaningful answer, "Hugo just returned from vacation, and we are still communicating with his next work arrangements, and there will be a result in the near future." Although Rick's answer is completely objective and impartial, at this sensitive moment, the reporters can fully interpret it as: Hugo is unwilling to attend the Golden Globes!

Sure enough, NBC TV has been hiding it, but after the fourth batch of lists were announced, they finally couldn't hide it anymore. They announced with regret: We will not see Mr. Lancaster at the Golden Globes this year. The media exploded in an instant.

Many media are speculating that since the Golden Globes incident in 1993, Hugo is actually very dissatisfied with the handling of NBC TV and the Foreign Press Association at that time. Last year, Hugo missed the Golden Globes on the grounds of filming "life and death speed". As a result, the Golden Globes ignored Hugo, making Hugo, the hottest Hugo at the time, a completely invisible person. But who would have thought that two months later, the Oscar gave Hugo the Best Supporting Actor Little Golden Man, completely losing face to the Golden Globes.

This year, the Golden Globes have been begging Hugo to attend, but unfortunately Hugo is not interested in the Golden Globes. Even though NBC TV and Rick have been constantly communicating and discussing, they still have not reached a consensus. Therefore, the subsequent award trend of the Golden Globes has added more uncertain factors.

Of course, all this is just media speculation. When the media interviewed Rick, he denied it all. He just said, "Hugo must promote his new work. He decided to take the Sundance Film Festival 'before sunrise' to participate in this independent film event. Unfortunately, Sundance's time conflicted with the Golden Globes, and Hugo was also very entangled and made a decision with difficulty. Hugo personally regrets the absence of the Golden Globes, and he will also personally express his apology to the Hollywood Foreign Press Association."

So, in an instant, the Sundance Film Festival, which was originally unpopular, became very popular. Following Hugo, many reporters also had to make a choice: Is it Sundance or the Golden Globe? Can Hugo's attractiveness surpass the stars' glittering Golden Globe?
