The role of Alicia may not be as complicated as Erin Ainos, but the performance is not inferior. Hugo originally wanted Ed Harris to play this role because Ed's image was positive, tall, serious, and a little ruthless. But later, he found that Ed was actually too strong, especially his acting style was completely open and tactful. He could show the authoritative side of Pacher, but it was not enough to outline the inner entanglement between Pacher and Nash. Strictly speaking, Pacher is actually a projection of Nash's heart, which is part of Nash. If you want to show this connection, Ed is not the best choice.
