This is the idea that Hugo had after participating in Rock Night. Hugo was exposed to a variety of music, even if it was limited to rock genres, it also included the complex music genres from the 1970s to the second decade of the 21st century. In Hugo's cognition, a band should not be bound by the so-called "style", but should develop their own music based on the style and characteristics of its own band. Nirvana is great, but not everyone can copy Cott Coben's; the Beatles are great, but it is not easy to find another John Lennon and Paul McCartney in the world.

In Michael's music career, he has developed his own unique music style, and innovations such as moon walks, music videos and "Trembling" that have influenced the entire music trend in the future have made him among the great ranks.

So when Hugo formed a band of his own, he couldn't help but start to conceive that their band should have their own style, and rock should not be music that is just confined to the guitar strings. Rock music should also open its mind to accept more new things, thus forming a unique style of each band, such as rap rock, metal core, industrial metal, post-grunge rock, and alternative rock. If we strictly define new metal music, it means retaining the distorted tone and extreme volume in traditional heavy metal music, and mixing more melodic main parts such as hip-hop and rap. The tone and heavy metal of new metal music are actually more vigorous and primitive, because the guitar part of new metal is not as complicated as in heavy metal music, and its position has been greatly weakened.

So when the band was formed, Hugo communicated with Neil and Pedro. Originally, Hugo thought the process would be very difficult. After all, Hugo enjoyed a "subjective" treatment on the last rock night, but unexpectedly, Neil and Pedro strongly agreed with Hugo's ideas.

Neil and Pedro were amazed at Hugo's performance in the creation of "kill.heroes". They were also very curious. If more elements were injected into rock, would they form their own unique musical style? In 1992 and 1993, the technological innovation of rock reached a new bottleneck, and the role of guitar was magnified like never before, which also made the development routes of various rock bands quite consistent: constantly crafting their own technology, pursuing the complexity of arrangement, and at the same time, the production of music was lost.

Hugo, Neil, Pedro, and Faujin are actually musicians affected by this. They have never relaxed in their own skills practices, so several people have discussed the skills part. When discussing music, everyone always thinks about making music in a variety of ways, which actually loses the most essential thing of music.

In Hugo's creativity, if you can open up your mind and re-read rock from different angles, you can indeed see a new world. Neil and Pedro both seem eager to try this. Not to mention whether they can innovate a new music genre or create a new history of music, just talking about the pursuit of music will become an unforgettable experience. Keyboards have always been ignored in traditional metal rock bands, especially electronic pianos, which they think are simply blasphemy to rock music. But in fact, the earliest heavy metal bands, such as black sabbath and led.zeppelin, used keyboards in large quantities, while deep.purple, directly equipped the band with a full-time keyboard player, and there were also a large number of keyboard solos in the songs.

For new metal rock, keyboards are not an indispensable instrument, but they can indeed enrich the creation and tone of melody, which is a very outstanding addition to a band. An excellent keyboardist can bring richer effects to the entire band, sometimes it cannot be achieved by pure guitars and drums.

In fact, the Goatskin band also added a full-time keyboardist in the later stage, Neil Coding (neil.coding), a keyboardist who became a member of the band in 1996, also injected a new atmosphere into the band, marking the transformation of the Goatskin band's musical style!

So Hugo believes that the band still needs a keyboardist, maybe not a full-time keyboardist, and can work part-time on other instruments, but must know how to use keyboards, which is a richness for the entire band. Neil and Pedro also nodded in agreement.

Of course, compared to keyboardists, lack of drummers is fatal, which is also the fundamental reason why the three-person band of Hugo has never been successful.

Joseph didn't know much about what kind of music style to do, but he was deeply moved by what Hugo said, "Give music more changes and elements." "Adding a keyboard was indeed a bold decision."
