462 Ukraine Raiders 2
The situation in Ukraine is actually very complicated, because Ukraine is actually more like a historical term. I won’t talk about the long history. Let’s talk about things after the 19th century. The entire Eastern Ukraine was controlled by Russia for many years and has been assimilated for hundreds of years. There are Ukrainians, Russians, and Cossacks here. The latter is more of a concept than a nation. They are a mixed nation and more like tribes. Overall, Russia’s rule over the Eastern Ukraine region is relatively solid. Although it is mixed, it has been ruled like this for hundreds of years on time. Even if there was a major famine in the Soviet Union, in the Second World War, the entire Eastern Ukraine still tends to be the Soviet Union.
But the situation in Western Ukraine is different. This place was originally ruled by the Poles. After the three families divided Poland, part of Western Ukraine was merged into Austro-Hungary, while most of it was merged into Russia. Later generations asked you to say that Ukraine could have its current territory. Thanks to Russia's expansion, there are some reasons. For example, after the 2nd War, Crimea actually gave Ukraine a time of Khrushchev...
1 The Ukrainian region in the war was a hodgepodge of nations and ideas. When Tsarist Russia collapsed, various thoughts and characters appeared on the stage, writing their own stories with Ukraine as the stage. There were the Soviet Red Army, Ukrainian nationalists, anarchists, old nobles, and Poles! It was almost impossible to establish a government that accepted all aspects, and there were very few people willing to accept the control of the Germans. So how should those who opposed Prince Ruprecht's control? There were only two options, first, kill them! Second, let them change their minds!
So, now the question is, which part of the people can the prince win over?
All those who want independence in Western Ukraine will be the enemy of the prince! Unless when the Austro-Hungarian Empire collapsed, they are willing to leave Hungary and stand on the side of Austria! Of course, this is very difficult, because in the Western Ukraine occupied by Hungary, these people were greatly affected by Poland, after all, they were vassals of Poland before. The Poles made great independence during World War 1... These people were determined to attack. So naturally they were ruled out.
Nationalists and anarchists in Russian Ukraine are also targets of attack! These people either want to establish an independent country or do not intend to ask for a government. They regard the outsiders as enemies, and there is no possibility of compromise. Whether it is a bribery or a sword facing each other, they will not make them surrender! Some of them even began to fight the White Army with the Red Army, and then fought with the Red Army, which was capricious, had no possibility of bribery, and had no basis for forming interests. Therefore, these people were also directly passed.
Then there are two types of people left, some of which are naturally the Red Army in history, while the other part are the White Army and the old Ukrainian nobles behind them! Needless to say, the former is the mortal enemy of Prince Ruprecht. Even if Germany wins, it will be the mortal enemy of the prince in World War II. That's right, it is the mortal enemy of the second battle. In the prince's opinion, even after the signing of the Brest Treaty, the remaining Soviet Union is still too large. The territory, resources and superstructure of this country can still make it a world-class power, and it is obviously inappropriate to have another power next to one power.
As the saying goes, one mountain cannot withstand two tigers unless one male and one female. The fundamental reason why the Weimar Republic had a so-called honeymoon period with the Soviet Union in history was that Germany lost! In the eyes of the Soviet Union, Germany had no threat and had the technology needed by the Soviet Union. In the eyes of Germany, the Soviet Union and Germany were both isolated countries. Since everyone was unattended, let's join forces to keep warm.
But this plane is different. If everything is based on history, then the prince's result is to save his life in Battle 1, but before Battle 2, he left Europe to be a rich man. Then the existence of Sud and Germany has nothing to do with the prince. But if Germany wins Battle 1, it will be different!
First of all, although the Soviet Union lost a lot of territory in the Brest Treaty, both the German emperor and the prince knew that Germany could not directly rule such a large area! Regions like Ukraine must support a government after the war. If Germany does this, then it will eventually become a feud with the Soviet Union. The reason is very simple. Let’s not talk about the humiliation brought to the Soviet Union by the Brest Treaty. For countries like the Soviet Union who made less money and lost money, can they swallow this?
It is unrealistic to completely crush Russia in the first battle, and it is impossible to solve the Soviet Communist Party in the first battle. The same people, the same equipment, but fighting under the leadership of different people, the combat power is completely different! What's more, the Germans themselves have become a mess, so how can they care about other things? Even if the Soviet Union lost a large amount of territory and population, they are still a strong country! They will still be hostile to Germany! Even when Germany puts its troops on the Western Front, the Soviet Communist Party is likely to take some actions!
Since the Communist Party of the Soviet Union will become the enemy, the only ones that can cooperate are the old Russian nobles! They at least know how to make choices, and they understand one truth very well: the Germans only want money and food. If they do well, they will support you, but the Communist Party of the Soviet Union is deadly! The gap between them is a smart person who knows how to choose!
However, it should be noted that among these old nobles, there is also a very important issue that needs to be identified and selected. In addition to their tendencies and talents, another very important issue is that they must have a certain popularity among the people! To put it bluntly, the exploitation should not be too powerful. Some people who are extremely guilty cannot become partners, but must also be killed as scapegoats. Otherwise, how can they win the hearts of the people? Why was the Soviet Red Army powerful at the beginning? It is because they did represent the interests of most people, at least giving them a hope!
In other words, the prince needs a Ukrainian regime composed of enlightened capitalists and nobles as a partner. The prince does not intend to completely turn Ukraine into a vassal. On the one hand, it is hard to do it. On the other hand, the two sides have a better cooperation model. Ukraine is the big granary of Germany, and Germany provides Ukraine with industrial products and security guarantees. There are only two neighboring countries in Ukraine, one Germany and the other Russia, and they will know how to do it.
A few years ago, Ruprecht had already begun to contact Ukraine's enlightened nobles and some Cossack leaders, and now they are just doing business. The others are still a bit early!
