Chapter I have the final say

Before the ceremony, he had to bathe and fast, but Zhao Bing did not calm down. He and several old ministers, the Ministry of Rites and officials from the Imperial Heavenly Prison took three days to ride around the entire mausoleum area, personally inspected the pre-selected place of Emperor Jingyan's mausoleum and listened to suggestions. However, it seemed that there was really no good place within the original range.

This incident made Zhao Bing very distressed, and several ministers who accompanied him couldn't help but mumble. This also made him know a lot of "secrets". He originally didn't believe in Feng Shui and didn't pay much attention to it. But after two days of turning around, he listened to their muttering every day, which made him suspicious, half-believing and half-doubting, thinking that maybe the Feng Shui theory seemed reasonable.

Speaking of the problem of choosing the site of the imperial tombs of the Song Dynasty, the problem of choosing the site of the Emperor Zhao Kuangyin, and all systems were set by him. This rule actually violated the conventions and even was a unique routine. No one dared to change it in order to show respect.

According to the accompanying 'experts', Gongyi Imperial Tombs are selected according to the "five-star profit theory", "topography geometry" and "mountain and water wind veins". The selection of the tomb land and the utilization of the terrain has two characteristics: one is different from the imperial tombs of all dynasties, either facing the lower or facing the mountains and rivers. The Song Tomb is exactly the opposite. It faces Songshan and is facing Luoshui. The emperors in the tomb area are all in the north and west, facing the main peak of Songshan Shaoshi; the other is that the terrain of each tomb is high in the south, low in the north, and hangs in the east and west, and the python is at the lowest point of the terrain. The first is that the foundation site of ancient Chinese buildings gradually increases and places the main building in the highest position.

There are many other theories that lead to this result, the most famous one is "overburial". According to an "expert", Zhao Kuangyin rested on the Luo River and his feet pedaled on the Songshan Mountain. This orientation is not good, and he usually rested on the mountain. The site of his tomb used to be a lake, which became an underwater tomb.

Accompanied by this, many yin and yang sages in the palace also found many reasons for burying them here, and called Gongyi the world the number one Feng Shui treasure land: Gongxian is where wind and rain meet, yin and yang merge, and the center of heaven and earth has always been the place where emperors live. The steep peaks of Songshan are the central pillars of heaven and earth. At the top of the Songling Underground Palace, such a star chart is drawn.

The more popular saying is that Yongchang Mausoleum is the only tomb selected by the emperor himself. In the ninth year of Kaibao, a few months before Song Taizu died, Song Taizu visited the western capital of Luoyang. He passed by Gong County and visited the Yong'an Mausoleum, his parents' burial place, and climbed to the northwest corner tower of Anling. He told the ministers that life was like a flash of time and there was an end. Then he took out a sound arrow and shot it in the northwest direction. He buried a stone horse at the place where the arrow fell. He told the ministers that this is my imperial hall, and I named it Yongchang. This is the source of Yongchang Mausoleum.

There is another version. After Zhao Kuangyin ascended the throne, he began to choose tombs for himself. After thousands of choices across the country, he chose Feng Shui Master Wu Yidao. Wu Yidao traveled all over the world and finally found a good cemetery in Gongyi: a lake. Zhao Kuangyin sent people to throw water-avoiding pearls into the spring, and then covered the spring mouth with a large stone mill, and began a large-scale construction project. As soon as the tomb was completed, Zhao Kuangyin died.

Why is it so abnormal? Because during this period, Wu Yidao was "wronged" by Zhao Kuangyin, so he deliberately reversed the direction of the tomb. "It is to not want his family to have emperors from generation to generation." Experts said that Zhao Kuangyin's tomb is indeed a rare backward burial. According to the terrain and Feng Shui direction of this tomb, the tomb should be built south to north, with the terrain from high to low, but it is located north to south, from low to high. This is the intentional revenge of Zhao Kuangyin by Feng Shui master.

However, Zhao Bing still believes in the official statement because the Song royal family believes in a Feng Shui theory called "Five Yinshang surname Li", but he, the Feng Shui novices, had no idea what this is. After explaining it, people realized that the so-called "Five Yinshang surname Li" means dividing a person's surname into palace, shang, jiao, zheng, and feather five notes, and then the five notes correspond to earth, metal, wood, fire, and water to determine the auspicious position.

The surname Zhao belongs to the Jiaoyin, and the five elements belong to wood, corresponding to the east, so the houses of the surname Zhao are suitable to face the east or southeast. If they face the west, it is very unfavorable, because the west belongs to metal, and gold overcomes wood. But some people say that the imperial tombs are high in front and low in the back, which means gradually depressing. For descendants, this means that one generation is worse than the other. Is the decline of the royal family of the Song Dynasty and the emergence of prodigal sons like Huizong related to this? They naturally did not dare to say it in front of Zhao Bing, but it also made him full of suspicion.

Zhao Bing had actually conducted detailed investigations in this area of the tomb protection area a few years ago, but what he saw was only military value. As for what is good about Feng Shui, he really didn't understand it. When Emperor Gaozong sent court officials who understood Feng Shui to go out to divine the land, and finally he fell in love with a large area of flat land in the mountains of Shaoxing, which is what the locals call mountain valleys.

The court officials said that this is a rare Feng Shui treasure land, but in the eyes of ordinary people, it is a poor mountain valley. Zhao Bing also saw something good. During the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, he was also a strategic base for Yue Kingdom. Goujian asked people to raise livestock and poultry here for military purposes, leaving behind place names such as Quanshan, Zhushan, Jishan, and Nanchi. Quanshan is the current Huoshan. Today, similar Zhushan, Jishan is the rear feeding land of Yue Kingdom back then, and it is still there.

Zhao Bing felt that it was just that, but it was also used to raise chickens and herd pigs. However, the ministers of the divine land believed that here: the hills were magnificent, five peaks were in front, and the emperor was above the emperor, the heroes of the green mountains, the wings were purple gold and white deer, the mountains were arched upwards, the atmosphere was respected, the flags were clustered, and the wings were surrounded by the left and right, looking at the affection, the auspicious energy was abundant, and the forests were prosperous.

It is also believed that the Mausoleum District is adjacent to Zangong Mountain in the north, Qinglong Mountain in the east, Wuhuling Mountain in the west, and Ziyun Mountain in the south. Ziyun Mountain is relatively low, Zangong Mountain is relatively tall, Qinglong Mountain is winding, and Wuhuling is crawling, forming the Feng Shui pattern of Qinglong on the left, White Tiger on the right, Vermillion Bird on the front, and Xuanwu behind. It is a typical Feng Shui treasure land of the morphology school.

Therefore, it is in line with the terrain of the southeast and the northwest, and the mountains and rivers of Kuaiji slowly flow in from the southeast and heading northwest. Its momentum is no different from the water of Yiluo, the mountain of Song Shao. The Liulings of Song are located in the southeast of Shaoxing and the southeast of Hangzhou, and they also meet the requirements of the Wuyin surname. It is consistent with the system of Gongyi's burial of Emperor and the latter. Some people also opposed it during this period. Zhu Xi even went to the "Shanling Proposal Proposal" and commented on the "Five Yin Li surname":

"Since Yong'an moved to Feng, he has followed this method: the southeast is bent and the northwest is hanging. In the nine generations, the country should be extinct again (Renzong and Zhezong had no descendants). During the Jingkang Incident, the Zongshe was in ruins. Emperor Gaozong revived and crossed south. Emperor Shou (i.e. Emperor Xiaozong) entered the Great Order from the Emperor's branch, and he also used his method. Emperor Shou was tired and diligent and rose to the Xia. The Supreme Emperor violated his hesitation for a long time and even abdicated, and Chishan also used his method. Zhuang Wen and Wei Di died one after another.

If you say that good or bad luck depends on people, not on the ground, and there is no abolition, how can it be prosperous? Then the theory of the national voice is self-useless, and it may not be blessed, and it may not be a disaster if it is not followed! What is it to believe in it, and it may be strict if it is adhered to it? If it is strict, it may be effective! If it is said that the method and the result cannot be changed, then all the tombs of Gongluo will sit south and head north, and they will be in line with the national voice. How can there be less good and more bad luck if it is!"

To let Zhao Bing understand, the meaning is that it is all: if you are useless, it may not be a blessing, and if you do not follow it, it may not be a disaster. Zhu Xi's words did not attract attention. The policy of selecting the divine acupoints for Xiaozong was still the same as me. Until Emperor Gong buried the Duzong, Lin'an belonged to the Yuan Dynasty and the Song Dynasty fell apart a year later. I don't know if it was a coincidence of history or the dragon energy of the Song Dynasty, and the true and false energy was passed down, it became a "fact". What made Zhao Bing funny was that what should he say, then he succeeded in restoring the country, and then connected the dragon energy!

However, Zhao Bing felt that the most important thing was that the mausoleum area was too small. In addition to the Yongsi Mausoleum of Emperor Gaozong Zhao Gou, the Yongfu Mausoleum of Emperor Xiaozong Zhao Shen, the Yongchong Mausoleum of Emperor Guangzong Zhao Kuo, the Yongmao Mausoleum of Emperor Ningzong Zhao Yun, and the Yongshao Mausoleum of Emperor Duzong Zhao Zhu, there were also two tombs of Emperor Huizong and Qinzong and nearly a hundred concubines, and the tombs of royal nobles, which filled the place with them.

Zhao Bing also heard that when it was Ningzong's turn to be buried, the space under the Baoshan was already cramped, and there was no choice but to forcibly demolish the nearby Taining Temple and requisition the foundation of the temple. He complained to his ancestors again. Since there was a problem at that time, why didn't he start to solve it? Gaozong and the first few people can understand that everyone thought they could fight back to the Central Plains. And his grandfather Lizong and Duzong's father were too much. Since he did not have the ability, he would not think about where his descendants were buried? Maybe they felt that it was not necessary at all...

Zhao Bing thought for a long time and only solved this problem by himself. The existing mausoleum area must be too small. The solution is to find another auspicious place and expand the mausoleum area. Although there is a saying that "10 years of searching for dragons and three years of acupoints", he can't wait any longer, and of course he can't let the court officials take this responsibility. You must know that if they don't do it well, they will lose their heads. If they make a decision, they will definitely delay it if they can, and I don't know when it will be.

"Just do it like this!" Zhao Bing picked up his pen and drew a circle on the map of the mausoleum area, and placed Fusheng Mountain and Zhuge Mountain in the east into the mausoleum area, and found another auspicious place in the new district.

"The official family and the place of the tombs is a major event that concerns the country and the royal family. Isn't this too hasty?" The queen Wu Xi, who was serving next to him, couldn't help but persuaded him worriedly when he saw His Majesty's pen and redefine the scope.

"Is it a hasty?" Zhao Bing turned around and looked at the concubines. They all nodded and smiled domineeringly, "Taizu could choose the place of the tomb when he was a man. Now I have the final say!"

"Your Majesty, be cautious!" Wu Xi advised again.
