Chapter 22 Vampires

Hermione Granger's face clearly showed an expression of disagreement.

If the professor on the podium was not Rozier, she must have stood up and spoke up to refute.

Of course, now, her dissatisfaction can only be kept in her heart.

"A upright wizard, no matter how terrible the magic of destruction is, as long as he is for the greater good, the magic he uses cannot be called 'black magic'!" Professor Rozier said with a serious expression:

"An wizard with a dark heart, no matter how high-sounding magic he uses; but if his actions violate the interests of the wizarding class, then it is undoubtedly 'black magic'."

Then there was only a rustling sound, and many young wizards began to take notes.

"What we need to refer to when evaluating whether a magic belongs to 'black magic' is its tracks, not itself." Professor Rozier continued:

"...For example, a dragon broke into Hogsmeade and was about to cause devastating damage to the villages and towns. A powerful wizard used a spell with extremely lethality to kill it. No matter how extreme the spell or how terrifying the destructive power, it cannot be called black magic..."

"...and if a high-sounding wizard is never used in his life. But he is with giants, fairies, or even Muggles, threatening the safety of the entire wizard world anytime and anywhere... Then any magic he uses is undoubtedly black magic!"

Professor Rozier paused and continued:

"The latter is the so-called dark wizard... those wizards who betray the wizard world, collude with other intelligent creatures, and threaten and may even seriously damage the interests of the wizard world... representatives of them, such as the infamous dark wizard Dumbledore, who was defeated by Principal Grindelwald fifty years ago."

Next, Professor Rozier's eyes turned to Hermione Granger again.

"Of course, Miss Granger said nothing wrong. The definition of black magic she mentioned was the definition that black magic had fifty years ago."

"But with the changes of the times, the black magic and the black wizard have also been redefined. Those magic that will bring great pain and torture to the caster, those magic with extremely powerful destructive power, are now called "extreme magic"; and the wizards who use them are called "extreme wizards"!"

Professor Rozier's voice can be said to be loud and powerful.

Hermione nodded slightly.

Then she started to brush and quickly began to remember.

...

After this brief opening remark, the Black Magic Defense Class officially began.

"Flip your textbook to page 287." Professor Rozier said without a doubt: "What we want to learn today is-"

"vampire!"

Matthew flipped through the textbook and looked at the catalog at the same time—

The content about vampires is almost the last few chapters of the entire book "Dark Magic: Self-Defense Guide". It seems that Professor Rozier also has the habit of teaching inconsistent order.

"Vampires are human-like magical creatures, and are also quite evil dark creatures. They usually move at night, feed on the blood of creatures at night, and generally cannot go out during the day." Professor Rozier began her lecture:

"Under normal circumstances, the appearance of vampires and muggles are undoubtedly wizards. However, they are pale and have sharp teeth in their mouths, which are used to bite the throats of other creatures to suck blood."

"The blood of living creatures is necessary for vampires. If you do not consume enough fresh blood for a certain period of time, it will be very deadly for them!"

"They usually live longer than Muggles, or even many wizards. For example, Ms. Camilla, a famous vampire in Hungary, lived 196 years old; while American vampire Amalilo Lestoart, was born in 1776 AD and died until fourteen years ago. Even when they died, their appearance was almost the same as Muggles, and the wizard was in his youth."

"At the same time, they also have a certain resistance to magic; some spells that are dangerous to wizards have little effect on them. If you encounter an adult vampire in the wild, only the experienced adult wizard will be their opponent!"

Professor Rozier described the characteristics of vampires very carefully.

Not only to describe the characteristics of vampires, she also teaches students how to expel or kill a vampire.

"Vampires are naturally disgusted with the smell of garlic, which is their only flaw. Carrying garlic with them is a good way to expel vampires. But some of the legendary weapons against vampires, such as silverware, crosses, holy water, etc., will not cause any substantial damage to them."

"At the same time, the terrible aspects of vampires are not as described in some Muggle works. The assimilation of vampires requires a very complex process, which they call "first embrace". However, when facing some hungry vampires, wizards or Muggles can easily die because they are sucked into the blood."

"There are many ways to kill a vampire...such as beheading, or burning its body completely, and stuffing a lot of garlic into the vampire's mouth can also cause great or even fatal damage to them."

During the whole class, the whole class had almost no time to look up.

They were all nervous and recorded everything Professor Rozier said as much as possible.

The bell for the end of get out of class finally rang, and Professor Rozier finally stopped:

"Each person has a paper about how to identify and kill vampires, at least two feet... hand it out next Monday."

She said lightly, then walked out of the classroom gracefully.

...

The tense breath finally disappeared.

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief. The Black Magic Defense class was undoubtedly the most rigorous course they took this week.

Just as Matthew was about to pack up and leave.

"Matthew!" A crisp voice called his name, Hermione Granger.

"Hello, Hermione." Matthew looked at her with a smile.

Draco Malfoy was packing his things and leaving. He glanced at the two people talking here and walked out of the classroom.

Matthew and Hermione were friends who started from the Break Cauldron Bar, and they exchanged greetings with each other.

When there are few students in the classroom-

"Matthew." Hermione lowered her voice: "Do you feel... Professor Rozier was suggesting something in this class?"

"Hint?" Matthew shook his head without thinking: "I don't think so."

"Professor Rozier is the vice president of Hogwarts. If something really happens, how could she not tell us publicly?"

"You're thinking too much, Hermione!"

Matthew smiled and walked out of the classroom.
